“Eurocentric BioMedicine Will Not Heal Colonialism or Eating Disorders”

Join us for an enlightening online webinar designed to bridge the gap between conventional eating disorder treatments and Indigenous wisdom. In the world of eating disorder recovery, Eurocentric methodologies have long dominated the landscape, often sidelining the experiences of Black, Indigenous people of color. This event aims to shed light on these overlooked perspectives, exploring the profound potential for connection and support when embracing diverse worldviews and cultures.

In a world marked by spiritual suppression, violence against femmes, Two-Spirits, and women sexual violence, and the enduring impact of colonialism, join us for a transformative journey of healing and self-discovery. "Reconnecting to Indigenous Wisdom" offers a unique opportunity to explore the profound teachings of Mesoamerican goddesses, Mayahuel, Tlazolteotl, and Coyolxauhqui within the context of authentic eating disorder support. This event is a sacred space to reclaim Indigenous traditions, embrace matriarchal wisdom, and embark on a path towards holistic well-being.

This webinar is open to community members and individual providers seeking to broaden their understanding of eating disorders from a non-Eurocentric perspective.
